Selecting the right treatment for you
Basically Musculoskeletal Therapy, or Myotherapy is an advance form of Remedial Massage. It takes 3 years to complete the degree, a bachelor of Health Science, as opposed to 1 year to get the Diploma of Remedial Massage. Consequently, MST has more tools to identify and treat your pain.

More focus on assessing and understanding how the condition appeared and what needs to be done to overcome it

Includes all techniques available: dry needling, joint/nerve mobilisation, rocktape

Treatment plan oriented or individual session

For example: disc problem, joint pain, nerve pain, overuse injuries.

First visit: 40 minutes treatment

Subsequent session:

1 site: 20 minutes

2 sites: 40 minutes

3 or complex: 1 hour

Remedial Massage

Pain from bad posture, lifestyle, lack of mobility,

More focus on maintenance

Includes more massage techniques, stretching, blood flow, pre/post sporting event.

Not included but available for and additional $5 each

Dry needling

Joint/ nerve mobilisation

Rocktape, kinesiology taping.

Maintenance schedule oriented, ie: every 4 weeks.

Full body maintenance: 60, 75 or 120 minutes depending on your tension and pain.

upper or lower body: 30 or 45 minutes.

For example a neck and shoulder treatment: 30 minutes.
